Cart

The cart provides a view of individual order items that are ready for ordering. The screen shot below shows a description of a pending order with two order items.

Refer to the Post Submission cart details in the Order History for additional information on how and when the cart will behave differently.

Access Cart

Click on the Cart menu option to access your cart.

  Name Description
1 Checkout

Click this button to submit your order in one click.

Once clicked, the user will be prompted to choose their delivery choice. The 1 click checkout option is only available if:

  • There are no errors with items in the cart. In order to prevent downstream processes, ContentWelder will only allow a valid cart to be submitted.
  • The user has the contact information for the item in the cart specified (e.g. name, address, telephone number, etc.).

Refer to Checkout Button is Disabled in the Troubleshooting section if the checkout button is gray.

2 Address Block

The user's address information is displayed here if it has been added to ContentWelder.

Change Address

& Checkout

Click this button to go through the normal checkout process. Unlike the quick checkout in step 1., the normal checkout will allow you to change your address and choose your delivery options.

Refer to Checkout Button is Disabled in the Troubleshooting section if the checkout button is gray.

4 SubTotal The sum order total of all items in the cart.
5 Order Number This is the Order Number.

Line Item

(Order Item)

Each line item in the cart (OrderItem) is displayed as shown here.

Note: "Line Items" in a cart are referred to as "Order Items" through this guide.

7 Preview If a preview exists for the Order Item, it is displayed here. Click on the preview to download it.
8 Download Click this icon to download the preview of the document to your desktop.
9 Product Name The name of the Catalog Item.
10 Catalog Item Type

The type of Catalog Item that this Order Item is associated with.

Note: The type of catalog item will effect the your order item. Each line item follows a workflow depending on the type of catalog item it is associated with.

11 Workflow Step

The current step in the workflow that this order item is in.

12 Channel Selection

Depending on the catalog item type, different channels may appear in this section. The following channels are available:

  • Print: The order item will be transmitted for print production once the order is submitted and approved.
  • Web: The order item is NOT transmitted. This channel, allows users to download files for use individually or on other system.
13 Mailing List Controls

Users that previously uploaded a mailing list, will be able to choose from their available lists. Mailing lists will either result in one of two paths depending on the channel.

  • Print: A mailing list applied to an Order Item informs the system that this piece should be treated as a Direct Mail piece.
  • Web: Currently, this has no impact.

Mailing list & quantity

When a mailing list is applied to a line item in the cart, the system automatically sets the quantity to match the number of recipients in the list.

Once you've selected a mailing list, if you want to change the quantity, you must either:

  • Remove the mailing so you can enter a different quantity.
  • Choose a different mailing list

14 Price Per item

The price for the current catalog item.

In the case of AdHoc items, the price displayed here is the rated price for the piece and cannot be set manually.

15 Quantity

The number of items to order for this item.

Dependency on Mailing Lists

If the catalog item is configured to require a mailing list, this field cannot be changed in the cart.

Note: The user can only change the quantity by choosing a Mailing List.

If the Order Item does not require a mailing list, but the User chooses to apply a mailing list anyways

Note: The quantity field can only be changed by either removing the mailing list, or by choosing a different mailing list.

16 Quantity Restrictions

Any quantity restrictions that exist for the Catalog Item are displayed here for the purchaser. This allows the purchaser to be aware of what quantity ranges they can order for.

17 Line Item total The total cost of this Order Item. This is calculated as 'Cost x Quantity = Line Item total'.
18 Delete Item Remove an individual line item from the cart.
19 Save for Later

This allows users to proceed with submitting an order without that particular item so it is not lost and can be returned to in the future.

20 Saved Items

Any items the users has saved previously will appear here. Items listed here are not submitted with an order.

21 Rename This option allows you to rename the item in your card.
22 Move to Cart Moves the Order Item to the cart that was saved so that it can be submitted.
