Designer Interface Explained
The following is a screen shot of what you see when you first open Designer.
Name | Description | |
1 | Stage | The stage is a representation of the current page you are on. Items placed on the stage will be included in the generated PDF output. |
2 | Pasteboard |
For PDF output, items placed on the pasteboard, or items that overflow onto the pasteboard are not included in the generated PDF. Note: If you place a picture box where 3/4 is on the stage and 1/4 overflows onto the pasteboard, and request a preview. the resulting PDF will only show 3/4 of the image that are on the stage. |
3 | Page Navigation and Outline Panels |
By default, the 'Page navigation' panel is active when you first open Designer. While the page navigation panel is active, right clicking on a page allows you to add pages and sections.

4 | Properties Panel | Allows you to control various properties of the currently selected page, section or Document. Clicking the corresponding (page, section or document) tab displays the matching properties. |
