Overview
Organization Management is at the heart of any system where access restrictions, chain of command or an approval process are required. Given that the Global Document Portal contains all three of these, you will need to understand users are managed and entitled in this system.
Entitlements
The list of available entitlements corresponds to the modules you or your company has signed up for. Each entitlement controls specific behavior in ContentWelder.
For example, in order to add new Print On Demand Catalog Items, you must have access to the Print on Demand_Add entitlement.
See the "Entitlements section" for more information on specific entitlements.
Roles
With entitlements you can create roles that meet the functional areas of your company. See the "Recommended Roles" section for more information.
Organization Levels and Nodes
Organization levels and nodes allow you to replicate a company command structure within ContentWelder. See "Organization Hierarchy" for more information.
Users
Each user in ContentWelder has a combination of Roles, Organization Node affiliation and Organization Node Authority.
Affiliation Verses Authority
It's important to understand the distinction between a user being associated with an Organization Node and a user having authority over an Organization Node. This distinction plays a key role with Approval Rules. See the "Organization Hierarchy" section for concrete examples on this distinction.
